Hello all - Sylvia recently sent out a message that included a note about the two of us working together to give this community a face lift.   The bad news first: I'm new to this community.  Shame on…

Growing lettuce in hot weather 4 Replies

I'm awed by the lettuce growing I see in the pages of the AP websites.  Many AP'ers are in hot climates in Australia.  Can you grow lettuce on a raft system when the outside temps are 90+ degrees?  W…

Gallons per fish: does a sweet spot exist? 10 Replies

Murray Hallam Workshop in Denver

The Aquaponic Source and the Denver Botanic Gardens are co-sponsoring a workshop by my favorite Australian aquaponics guru - Murray Hallam! Murray is a community member and the star of the popular Aquaponics Made Easy and Aquaponics Secrets videos. He is coming to Denver from Australia on September 19th to teach a 6- hour workshop at the Denver Botanic Gardens. This promises to be a fascinating peek into how the Australian masters of aquaponics do what they do so well.

Sign ups are being taken through the Denver Botanic Gardens at this site. Space is very limited, and the DBG just sent out an announcement about this event to their mailing list so I expect it to fill up soon. Don't miss this amazing opportunity!!

The Kaldnes media is getting dirtier. The lighter pieces are a month younger. Dirty is good. So far i have abouit 700 tilapia in the pool & zero ammonia & nitrites.
